Eric is a service professional WAY beyond what you might expect. Personable, friendly, knowledgable, efficient... I'm sure he's earned more merit badges than I can list here. But bottom line, don't hesitate. He set up our home wifi network with all the latest equipment, and gave me several options for customizing the system for our use. Before coming over he already set up the network, to save time in my home. He tested, and re-tested everything. He customized stuff as needed. I wish Eric were my doctor, dentist, veterinarian, plumber and electrician, too! He's great.

Wow, Thomas. Thank you so much for the glowing review, your trust, and the recognition of our work. It was a sincere pleasure to be of service.

I purchased a new computer to replace my 12 year old desktop. I took both to Credo where Ms. Michelle assisted me with this project. It's a big job transferring data from such an old system to Windows 10. Michelle was always willing to assist with all issue's that arose. If something does come up she's able to log into my system remotely and perform what I call "the laying of the hands". Basically ...... "Heal". She did it again today, Fixing up issues that are the result of my uneducated wanderings through the software. Bottom line, I give Credo, Eric, and Michelle the very highest rating possible ... 5+ stars.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Don. I am very happy Michelle was able to get you sorted and back to rockin' out!
Apr 2, 2020Previous reviewI've had the pleasure of working with Credo for a number of years now. Always top notch. They've saved my toosh a number of times. Today was no exception. Here we are in the middle of the Covid-19 shutdown and the sound goes kaput on my desktop computer. No tunes .... how am I going to make it.
My call for help goes out to Credo. I receive a prompt reply from Eric, and we set up a time for one of their representatives to assist me via
remote access to my computer. I had the pleasure of working with "Michelle" who was able to resolve my issues within 15 minutes. She was great to work with. I've got tunes, I've got tunes !
Great people to work with, and extremely fair pricing. - Ann S.Sparks, NV020Jun 25, 2017
My boss Mr. Kane has utilized his service several times and always fixes everything. This is the only computer tech company Mr. Kane's will use.

This is my go to place for tech fixes. They are kind, skilled, efficient, and honest. To avoid a wait, call ahead to schedule an appointment. Everyone wants Credo; they're just too popular for drop-in service. That's a good sign.

While I was off on vacation, I had Credo ghost and replace the hard drive in my laptop.
They did a great job, had all of the Windows updates installed for me and gave me some free advice on how to make my laptop run even better.
I've known Eric for several years and have always been impressed by him personally and how he runs his business. He and Mario are top-notch people: honest, ethical, fair and upfront regarding any issues you should be aware of.
If you need your computer repaired (for work or home), I highly recommend Credo Technology Group.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Scott H.Sparks, NV36273Oct 6, 2016
Fantastic in every aspect, very friendly, professional, prompt and will definitely be using again and referring. Brought our laptop in and had it back completed in much less time than expected. Let me know of their other services available and made sure that I knew of their excellent warranty on the products and services.

Updating my review to 4 stars, as after a followup with the Yelp review, Eric (owner) followed up with me regarding some incorrect costs for procedures and exhibited excellent customer service expediting a refund regarding the second transaction that had to be made with my computer that I was not liable to be charged for.
While my problem wasn't fixed, the potential solution was provided and the alternative was recommended, while any gripes were remedied. As a reliable locals place and not corporate entity(i.e. Best Buy, Office Max), I cannot recommend their expertise and know how enough.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jul 9, 2013Previous reviewA few months ago I had discovered an issue that was becoming more prevalent with my laptop, where I would use it and it would get extremely hot and shut off. I knew the fan was likely the issue, tried cleaning with canned air and leaving elevated all the time but still no luck. I searched and found the yelp reviews for Credo Computers and in faith decided to go visit them.
They explained the cost of diagnostic well and the repairs were determined to be most definitely my fan and cooling unit, which had to be completely replaced and they had to order because they could not find the unit locally. I was not in a rush and ok, asked for the cost, and explained the time frame. When the services were done, I paid the diagnostic fee and the appropriate cost for the part and labor, Eric even tested it and made sure it was working great and the heat was staying low. Problem, for the time, was solved.
About one week after, the computer locked up once, but then worked near flawlessly for two weeks going forward, and then immediately died. The light on the side by the AC would turn on but no activity or power showing from the display or keyboard. I called again, spoke with Alex, and explained the repairs they had already done, and he said they would not charge the diagnostic due to the issue happening again. I left for a trip but came back and still had not received a call, waited approximately one more week and called, spoke with Eric, and he said his colleague(I believe Alejandro) was going to take special care to look at it because of the likely difficulty with what was going on. I waited for another two weeks to get a call and I would say about mid to end of June they let me know that the motherboard was indeed damaged. He informed me that he could not find a new motherboard, and that he could get a used one, but with parts, repairs, and all the cost, plus his personal advice against using a used motherboard(which I agreed with), that I may not want to complete the repairs. I agreed and, having already invested about $200 into the initial repairs, decided that a new computer purchase would likely be a better outcome when I had the funds. I was happy with his knowledge and the fact that he didn't try to sell me on more repairs and was honest about his personal advice on the computer(which I would have done anyways, but regardless very good).
I came in today, about 3 weeks after I talked to them, and Alex was there again and he had my computer, which is basically a paperweight now. He said the charges were $60, for the diagnostic fee($25) and the fee of $35 due to them taking apart the computer but no repairs being made at my choice. I advised him he said he would waive the diagnostic fee when I spoke with him over a month ago to get this issue fixed, and he checked the computer for notations or other information and waived the fee. I still had to pay the $35, however, despite the fact that my initial issue with the pc was not taken care of.
All in all, my rating above is my personal experience with them and what I left feeling about, which, as it states, is just A-ok. I'm pleased with their knowledge, their ability, and I can tell they weren't trying to pull more money away from me. I was a little disappointed at the time frame it took them to call me back after bringing the laptop in a second time(almost three weeks) even though I did state I was a little lax due to having an older computer I could use, and charging me any fees when the original problem arose to be even more serious(and overall beyond reasonable replacement) seemed a bit too much. I realize the time and effort it takes to complete these repairs and the costs involved, on some levels, but again, my initial problem was not only not taken care of, but the money I invested has gone to waste because I chose not to invest more money into a problem that basically would have totaled about 50-65% of what I'm likely to spend on a new laptop for my needs of use. Charging me again for diagnostic or service fees when I've already paid a considerable portion towards a problem that cannot be fixed within reason when better options are available seems a little unreasonable.
I will likely recommend them to most of my friends, just because I really do feel like they do a good job, are knowledgeable and friendly. This just is my personal experience in this situation and cannot see promoting them beyond a certain degree due to the additional costs that I feel were unnecessary when my same problem arose in less than 30 days and was, at that point, too much to realistically try and fix, even by their own recommendation. - Steve B.Sparks, NV02Mar 28, 2018
Asked for some very simple fixes on our Macs. Michelle spent 45 minutes on my wife Mac to get it to sync to the cloud. That's all. Last time we had this problem, a neighbor fixed it in 125 minutes. She could not get my email to work and had to look up how to set up IMAP account. Again it did not work. Spent $125 for very little. NOT WORTH THE COST!
FOLLOW UP: After this review and a call to the owner (Eric) called and apologized for the mix up. Said he should have been sent out to do the work. Very professional business person. They did not charge me for the service call and offered to make it right. Will give them a second chance.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The mission of Credo Computers is to "Pay I.T. Forward" to all those who serve, and owner Eric Johnson does just that.
I am a teacher, and when my laptop was stolen midway during the semester, I wasn't sure how I was going to grade my college students' English papers. I had seen Credo Computers on Twitter and Facebook and decided to give them a call. Eric was willing to let me borrow a PC (which he said is something he doesn't normally do) for as long as I needed it and at a price that was more than reasonable.
Not only did he deliver the machine to me at my office, but when I was done with it, he picked it up from my house. Eric is friendly and professional, and I highly recommend anyone who is having computer problems (or who doesn't want to have computer problems) to get in touch with Eric at Credo Computers.
His prices are fair, his services are professional, and he's just an all-around nice guy.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
