What is Credo Tech Connect?

 

 

  • Credo Tech Connect, in its basic form, is a software utility to keep you informed of issues and gives you quick access to Credo Tech Support.
  • When an error is triggered a box will pop up at the bottom right of your screen.  For those on the paid plans, we will also receive notice without your interaction.
  • Our goal is to provide you with quicker support by receiving more information and give you an easier option to contact us.
  • The built-in contact form makes it easier than ever to get in touch.

3 Packages To Choose From!

  1. Basic Monitoring Package: Free – Includes a passive monitoring application for sending a request at any time and giving you notifications for most issues are detected. 50% off tune-ups if redeemed every 3 months without fail.  Think of it as a reward for taking care of your computer.  If you miss a tune-up, it’ll be full price.
  2. Monitoring Package + AV: $14/mo – Includes Anti-Malware protection powered by Emsisoft, and the Basic Monitoring Package plus it will actively send alerts to the Credo Technology Group dashboard.  Malware removal is also included with this package. You also receive 4% off all remote and on-site services, and 8% discount on all in-shop services.
  3. Tune & Protect Package: $24/mo (save 10% on annual subscriptions) – Includes everything the Monitoring Package + AV has PLUS Regular Tune-Ups and a 5% discount on remote and on-site services, and a 10% discount on all in-shop services.  We are able to to monitor more errors, events, and trouble.  We are also able to easily see more of what your computer is doing in the background.  And we keep your computer tuned up on a monthly basis. **You can even ask for specific programs to be uninstalled.  90% of this service is done in the background by the Credo Tech Team and you’ll never know we were there.  That is the idea, after all, to save you time, save you from downtime, and keep your computer as healthy as it can possibly be!

What Does Credo Tech Connect NOT Cover?

We strive to be the most transparent company when it comes to our services, pricing, plans, and offerings.  Here is an explanation where we will attempt to go from mud to at least a lemon-lime soda, if not crystal.

The Basic Monitoring Package is just a tool to help you know when some things go wrong and give you an easier way of reaching out to us.  It does not cover any services, does not provide any warranties or guarantees, nor do we imply that it does.  By having this software installed you will receive some discounts and these discounts can change at any given time.

The Monitoring Package + AV does not include anything outside of the statements provided.  It does not provide 24/7 helpdesk support, even if we hired out of the country, we would go broke on such a low monthly fee.  We will do our best to get back to you within one (1) business day and most often within two (2) business days.  We will provide malware removal as long as your anti-malware software was never turned off and as long as it does not become routine – a malware removal every week would mean there are other malicious things going on.  Again, we would go broke, but we can guarantee if you listen to all of our warnings and instructions, you will have little to no problems.

We want you to understand that with the Tune & Protect Package you will have a lot of preventative maintenance and active monitoring performed by trained professionals that are usually only found in corporate environments.  We will be able to respond in the same fashion as mentioned above, in 1-2 business days.  Our long-time clients know, we do our best to be one of the quickest and most caring in customer service, but it keeps the costs down if we don’t stop our current work every time another request comes in.  You are always a valued client and ask that you trust in us to give the absolute best support available.

We do not cover any emergency services.  For our clients that need or request immediate service, the rates will be at the current and standard rates for urgent and emergent services.

We will not babysit, house sit, water your plants, walk your dog, or yell at your neighbor.

About the apps

Who makes the application with the Credo Technology Group, LLC Logo and Sphere?

The application is called Kabuto (‘cab-ooo-toe’), and is developed by a company named RepairTech. RepairTech makes software for IT professionals. You can learn more at repairtechsolutions.com.

What data is collected?

The data being gathered about your machine is directly related to the issues you’d experience, such as hardware information, application crash information, and hard drive health information.

Is this data ever given to outside parties?

This data is mainly used to give your technician an idea of how healthy your computer is, and if you need help. This data is only ever used by RepairTech for debugging or product improvement purposes, and will never be given or sold to outside parties. The only exception to this is if RepairTech complies and releases reports about the IT industry (for example: “Malware Trends this Year”), and in the case, all data would be made anonymous. NONE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OR DATA STORED ON YOUR COMPUTER IS EVER DELIVERED OVER THE INTERNET VIA KABUTO. Only your basic system info and what is sent through the contact form. We are more than happy to give people a walk-through of their account and what we see. It’s pretty mundane, most of the time.
