Get to your command prompt via your recovery partition, Repair Windows selection, or an install disc.
copy $:\windows\system32\sethc.exe $:\
copy $:\windows\system32\cmd.exe $:\windows\system32\sethc.exe
You can replace sethc.exe with utilman.exe in some instances
RESTART
Press SHIFT five (5) times (utilman.exe you click bottom left of screen)
Command Prompt
Type ‘control userpasswords2’ or use ‘netplwiz’ and edit
OR type
net user name password –or- net user “firstname lastname” password
LOGIN
Do a happy dance. Yay. Err Yay!
Undo the file copies that you did by going back to the command prompt from the Windows PE environment.
